May 16th (Little Gull,Alders lake)

This afternoon at 1530,the Little Gull flew across to Alders lake.Where it stayed for about forty five minutes, before flying back to Tesco lake.Although it was a lot closer, the light was poor and the battery in my camera was almost defunct, typical!.

May 15th (New Hythe,Tesco lake)

The Little Gull is present for its third day.Being a immature bird,I don`t expect its in so much of a hurry to get where its going. At one point it looked as if it was about to depart. It flew off high, but then turned back, passing close overhead.

A few photos from my trip to France with Maidstone RSPB group. The nice weather brought out every man and his dog.It took us nearly an hour to gain entrance to the reserve and as a result the hides were jam packed.Having said that it was still a very nice way to spend a day, with lots of good birds.

The best bird of the trip was a Black Kite.Which in some way made up for the fact that there was no sightings of Bluethroats,Crested Tits or S T treecreepers.
